This policy explains what data Writto collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Writto you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account data: your name, email and authentication details when you sign up (including via Google sign-in).
Content you create: prompts, drafts, voice training samples and documents you generate or upload. This is yours; we process it to provide the service.
Usage data: credits consumed, features used and basic product analytics we use to improve Writto.
Payment data: handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card details.
2. How we use your data
To provide and operate the service: generating articles, training voices, running research and metering usage.
To improve product quality, including analysing aggregate generation metrics. We do not sell your data.
To communicate with you about your account, billing and product updates you have opted into.
3. AI processing
To generate and research content, your prompts and relevant context are sent to our AI providers for processing under their own terms.
4. Data storage & security
Your data is stored with our infrastructure providers and protected by row-level security, so each account can only access its own data. Service credentials stay server-side and are never exposed to the browser.
5. Your rights
You can access, export or delete your content from within the app, and request account deletion by contacting us. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations.
